HARRISBURG, Pa. - People enjoyed some legendary Pennsylvania Dairymen's Association farm show milkshakes today in celebration of a huge success for a good cause.
The Central Pennsylvania Food Bank's "Fill a Glass with Hope" campaign raised over $150,000. Every dollar donated equals eight servings of milk they can give to children and families who can't afford it.
PA Department of Agriculture Secretary Russell Redding says, "Ten percent of our population struggles each day to find enough to eat. That is a problem that we can solve as a society. That is a problem that we as producers in agriculture recognize."
