Mostly cloudy skies prevail today with a few showers dotting the landscape at times. You’ll stay dry for the majority of the day today with highs in the upper 70s. Evening plans look good to with the generally cloudy skies continuing.
SOGGY SATURDAY
Our next storm system moves in for Saturday and it brings us a full day of wet weather. Expect showers and downpours all day, totaling 1.5-3” in most locations, with locally higher amounts. Some localized flooding on roads, poor drainage areas, and small creeks and streams may occur with already saturated grounds. Highs will be held in the upper 60s thanks to this steady rain. Rain will slowly break up overnight. Be prepared and stay alert for rising waters, especially if you’ve been in trouble in the past. A flood watch is in effect from 2 A.M. tonight through 2 A.M. Sunday morning.
After some morning drops, we stay mostly cloudy with highs in the middle 70s. A few drops are possible, but it looks like a mainly dry day as the storm system continues to pull away.
BEACH
Expect soggy weather along the shoreline for Saturday with clouds and showers. Highs are in the middle 70s. Sunday, showers will pull away leaving mostly cloudy skies and highs in the upper 70s to near 80°. Waves are 4-7 feet with water temperatures in the lower to middle 70s along the coast.
NEXT WEEK
Monday, we’re partly cloudy with highs near 82°. Tuesday and Wednesday, another storm system rolls in with mostly cloudy skies and return of storm chances. Highs are in the lower 80s. We look to dry out for Thursday with highs near 80°.
