YORK, Pa. - Meg McDermott and Jason Sherman from Meg and the Right Sound have been playing together for just a year, but the two, along with the rest of their band are coming together to create a different sound. Based in Lancaster, they started out as a duo but have since evolved into a four-piece band. They are currently working on their very first EP.
"We started our demos in his basement which is really fun," McDermott said, "Our drummer is a really awesome sound guy with all of the equipment so we've been working a lot together."
Meg says they pull inspiration from groups like Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Alabama Shakes and She and Him and their band is a mix of indie with "a bit of soul."
Meg and the Right Sound will be playing at Tellus 360 on July 3 for First Friday in Lancaster.
