NEW HOLLAND, Pa. – An accident investigation leads to the arrest of a man for allegedly  burglarizing his ex-girlfriend’s home, twice on the same night.    It happened Sunday evening at about 7:22 pm and 10:12 pm.   New Holland Borough Police say Shawn Krut, 36, kicked in the back door of the residence and once inside spread oil all over the contents of the house such as the mattress, the carpet, walls and the furniture.

 
Krut was then involved in a vehicle accident early this morning within the jurisdiction of Northwest Regional Police.  Borough Police were advised of the accident and interviewed Krut who admitted to breaking into his ex-girlfriend’s home and committing the damage.

 

 

Charges against Krut include 2 counts of Burglary and Criminal Mischief. Following arraignment he was sent to Lancaster County Prison in lieu of $50,000 cash bail. . Pennsylvania State Parole also issued a detainer for Krut.
