DERRY TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- Kids staying at Penn State Hershey Children's Hospital had special visitors Wednesday.

Members of the Penn State University football team surprised patients at the hospital. The Nittany Lions took a break from the practice field to visit their biggest fans.

Players signed autographs, did some activities with the kids, and even played some football.

"I just loved seeing the faces when we came through the door and everybody was surprised," said defensive tackle Austin Johnson. "It's just a great time."

"Whenever you do these activities you come to try and make a difference in other people's lives, that's always what it's about for us," said head coach James Franklin. "But what's amazing is you get more out of it than you actually give."
