NEWBERRY, Pa.–Police arrested three people in connection with distraction thefts at a convenience store in Newberry Township earlier this week.

Donelle Little, 46, Ronald Little, 48, and Keriann Riebow, 27, all of Philadelphia, are each charged with retail theft, theft by deception and receiving stolen property.

Police were dispatched to the Speedway gas station located along the first block of Robinhood Drive for a reported robbery around 3:28 a.m. on Thursday.

The clerk told police one of the suspects distracted them while two others removed cigarette cartons from the store.

Officers stopped the suspects car and recovered $1,315.99 worth of cigarettes from their vehicle.

All three were taken to York County Prison in lieu of $50,000 bail each.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 29.
