LANCASTER, Pa. – A Lancaster City woman fights back when confronted by an armed robbery suspect.  It happened about 1:37 am Sunday in the rear of 114 East King Street.  Officers responding to a report of a robbery in progress located a female victim who stated that she and two friends were walking to their vehicle, which was parked in a parking lot in the 100 block of E. Mifflin Street.

Once the victim got to the vehicle, the suspect, later identified as Nestor Torres-Padilla 22, approached her and grabbed her by the throat with his left hand. With his right hand, Torres-Padilla produced a handgun and held it to the victim’s head and demanded her money. The victim then tried to punch Torres-Padilla in the face in an attempt to get away. Torres-Padilla then fled the area north towards King Street. He was unable to get any money from the victim.

Officers Ryan Burgett and Austin Krause began checking the surrounding area for the suspect. As they drove north in the first block of North Lime Street they spotted and stopped Torres-Padilla, who matched the description provided by the victim. He was also found to be in possession of a black BB gun.

Torres-Padilla was charged with one count of Robbery.  Following arraignment he was committed to Lancaster County Prison in lieu of $150,000.00 cash bail.
