SWATARA TOWNSHIP, LEBANON COUNTY -- A barn full of hay and straw was destroyed Monday morning in Lebanon County due to a fire.

Officials say the fire broke out shortly before 5:30 a.m. along the 700 block of North Lancaster Street in Swatara Township.

Rick Kreitzer, chief of the Bunker Hill Fire Company, said no animals or people were inside the barn at the time of the fire; however, one firefighter was treated at the scene for heat exhaustion.

Chief Kreitzer says he is expected to be okay.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
