FIRST HEAT WAVE OF THE SEASON?
A stationary boundary draped across the area right now slowly dissipates and sags southward. High pressure building in will clear the skies but with low level moisture still hanging around, may lead to patchy fog, especially areas that received heavy rainfall last night. Once the sun rises, it will burn off the fog and any clouds hanging around, leading to a mostly sunny day.

The heat will build and temperatures will soar to the upper 80s to near 90 degrees. You will still notice the humidity too. It gets even hotter by Wednesday with highs in the low 90s. Combine the hot temperatures with higher humidity, it will feel close to 100 in many spots. Not much of a breeze is expected the next two days to help with the stagnant air. Our next chance for rain doesn’t arrive until Thursday as a cold front swings through. It won’t offer much relief to the heat and humidity nor will it bring a lot of rainfall either. Highs will still be warm near 90.
