HARRISBURG, Pa.–Police continue to search for the armed man who opened fire in the street in Harrisburg on Friday afternoon.

Officers were called to the 2100 block of North 4th Street just after 12:30 p.m. Friday for reports of gunshots. After reviewing street camera footage–investigators said a man opened fire at a gray Hummer that was parked along the street. The driver fled the scene and the shooter was seen walking into a nearby home.

The Dauphin County CRT Team was activated and secured the building that the shooter went into.  Police searched the home and seized several items–but no one was inside.

Authorities still do not know the identity of the shooter or the driver of the Hummer.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 717-558-6900 and ask for a city detective.
