HEAT, STRONG STORMS
The heat peaks today with highs near 90° under mostly sunny skies for much of the day. The humidity bumps up a tad, but it’s very manageable.
As the day progresses, a frontal system nearby may spark some storms heading into the evening hours. If the storms fire, they could bring strong winds and hail, so we’ll need to stay alert. Part of our area is under a slight risk for severe weather today.
As we move into mid-week, we’ll see a drop in temps through the 80s. It’s sunny and lower humidity settles in for the next few days. Enjoy!
LATE WEEK UNCERTAINTY
The models continue to depict a potent wave for late week; however, they differ in how this wave will resolve. Basically, will this turn into a potent storm system and where will it go? Right now, we’re leaning on a system bringing some healthy rain chances later Thursday into Friday. This is subject to change though. The forecast now is mostly cloudy with rain and showers for Thursday and Friday with highs in the upper 70s and lower 80s. Check back as we move through the week.
The weekend looks comfortable and dry with temperatures a tad below seasonal averages. Expect highs in the lower 80s under partly cloudy skies. Enjoy!
Have a marvelous Monday folks!
