ANOTHER BEAUTIFUL DAY BEFORE CHANGES
Cold front continues to slice through the area. It may trigger an isolated storm in the next hour or two; otherwise, it will be a very nice evening. Breeze will settle down and temperatures will remain warm in the 80s for a couple of hours before dropping back into the 70s. Tonight, expect the skies to clear and winds to be light. Lows will be cooler than recent mornings in the low 60s.
There may be a passing cloud or two but a wonderful day with comfortable humidity and highs near seasonal averages in the low to mid 80s.
We are tracking an area of low pressure which is expected to combine with the summer upper level energy and skirt by to our south. It will move across Virginia and Maryland bringing clouds and rain showers especially in those areas. Question will be if high pressure to our north wins out and suppress the system far enough south to keep the rain away. We need the wet weather but models are not agreeing on the exact track of the system. We’ll be keeping you posted as more data comes in. Temperatures still look to trend cooler with highs not getting out of the 70s by the end of the week.
