Olivia’s Authentic Mediterranean Cuisine in Gettysburg stopped by the Fox43 kitchen today to show us how to make several different dishes, including shrimp santorini and baklava.
The shrimp santorini is made with tender jumbo shrimp sauteed along with fresh tomatoes, crumbled feta cheese. It's then drenched in marinara sauce and served over a bed of rice pilaf.
Baklava is a traditional Greek dessert that's made with with layers of phyllo dough. The dough is covered with a delicious mixture of nuts including walnuts, pecans, pistachios, almonds, and chocolate chips, all drenched in simple syrup and baked with fresh cloves.
Harry and Adrienne Tassou also showed us how to make a couple different cocktails today. The first is a wine spritzer made with cupcake angel food white wine, San Pellegrino lemon soda, ice and fresh assorted fruit. The second is a twist on sangria. The cocktail is a mix of sangria and margarita shaken together and served over ice. It includes wine, tequila, Cointreau, amaretto, fresh fruit, assorted fruit juices, sweet and sour, and lime juice.
