HARRISBURG, Pa.– A Mechanicsburg man is charged with selling fudge and chocolate that contained a potent form of cannabis at Bear’s Picnic, a music festival held annually in Liberty Township, Tioga County.

According to a press release from the Attorney General’s Office, Bryan David Ray Stone, 35, of 105 East Maplewood Ave., Mechanicsburg, was charged with unlawful delivery of a controlled substance (marijuana), unlawful possession of a small amount of marijuana, unlawful delivery of drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

Agents from the Attorney General’s Office worked undercover at the music festival. they bought the fudge and chocolate that contained suspected hashish. Additionally, 85 baked goods — including Rice Krispies Treats and muffins — containing suspected hashish also were seized.

Agents were tipped off the Stone’s illegal enterprise and reported drug use at last year’s music festival. As a result of the investigation, agents obtained search warrants, which resulted in the seizure of marijuana, marijuana wax and hashish.

Agents also reported seizing 254 glass smoking devices valued at roughly $20,000, as well as $2,282 in cash.

Stone was arraigned Monday morning. His bail was set at $10,000 unsecured. A preliminary hearing is tentatively scheduled for Aug. 18.

The Office of Attorney General expects additional arrests as its investigation continues.
