APOPKA, FL-– A Florida woman is behind bars after police say she had her child blow into breathalyzer machine so she could start her car.
April King just recently got out of rehab, according to her husband, and he installed the breathalyzer himself on her car.
Doug King is outraged at his wife’s actions, and has not bailed her out of jail.
April was caught on camera when someone called 911 saying she left her children in the car while she went into a bar.
Police responded to the scene and April can be seen in her car when the 4-year-old grabs the breathalyzer and blows into it.
Doug says when he picked his son up from daycare he said, “he wanted mommy’s car because he thought it was a toy.”
Police have charged April King with child neglect.
Doug says he is now packing up the kids and moving back to Oklahoma.
Police did not charge King with drunken driving because they say they could not prove she was driving the car.
