PHILADELPHIA — The people of The City of Brotherly Love are getting a second chance to prove themselves to the robots of the world.
The unusual hitchhiker is inspired by hitchBOT and works the same way. Someone finds him, takes him to another location, and Tweets a picture with an update to his Twitter account.
The “Papal Robot Hitchhiker” is the creation of 93.3 WMMR:
Hello, I’m Pope Bot. Inspired by my friend, #HitchBot, who sadly met his demise in Philadelphia, I am taking a journey around the Delaware Valley. The goal of my adventure is to prove to the Vatican that this area is a safe environment for the leader of the church. Plus, there is a prize each week for one person who gives me a lift!
Pope Bot has already made its way to Valley Forge and both the Exton Mall and Plymouth Meeting Mall.
So will this make up for what happened to HitchBOT?
