EAST LAMPETER TOWNSHIP, Pa. – An alleged burglary suspect made it easy for police to make an arrest. At about 9:17 Tuesday morning, East Lampeter Township Police responded to a call at a home in the 1900 block of Pine Drive.

It was discovered by residents that someone had forced into their home and stole some cash from an office area.

Police soon discovered Peter August Heisterkamp, 25, of Lancaster, sleeping in a downstairs bathroom. Heisterkamp  was taken into custody without incident.  A search revealed he was in possession of the stolen cash and drug paraphernalia that is commonly used to ingest heroin.

Charges against Heisterkamp include Burglary, Theft by Unlawful Taking and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Following arraignment he was sent to Lancaster County Prison in lieu of bail.
