LAYTON, PA — A Pennsylvania home is for sale, that only a horror movie fan would appreciate.
Number 8 Circle Street in Fayette County is famous as being the home of serial killer Buffalo Bill in the 1991 movie ‘The Silence of The Lambs’.
The basement dungeon where the killer kept one would-be victim, however, doesn’t exist. Those scenes were shot on a sound stage.
The three-story Victorian style home is owned by Scott and Barb Lloyd.
They said that people working on the movie were looking for older houses, and they just happened to find theirs.
Lloyd says for the movie, “they changed everything, just so it would be the way they wanted it.” And the couple just cleared their stuff out and lived upstairs.
The Llyods say they weren’t allowed to be in the house during filming, but they received an autographed book from the cast and a handsome check.
The house is now on the market for 300-thousand dollars.
