SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT  —  Their reputations as power hitters preceded Red Land to the Little League World Series.   They quickly showed the rest of the teams what they can do by pounding the Midwest regional champions from Missouri 18-0 in their opening game at Lamade Stadium.

Cole Wagner homered twice in the 3rd inning alone to go with his single and double earlier in the game.  Kaden Peifer’s three-run homer in the 2nd inning set the tone for Red Land.    The game was called after four innings because of the mercy rule with the hometown team already ahead by 18.

Red Land will next play Sunday Night at 7pm against the Southeast regional champions from South Carolina.   Their ace pitcher Alex Edmondson tossed a no-hitter versus a team from Rhode Island but will not be available to pitch against Red Land.
