DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. – A Harrisburg man is head to trial on multiple charges of sexual assault involving minors. John Reid waived his preliminary hearing today sending all 33 charges against him to the Dauphin County Court of Common Pleas.
Charges against Reid include multiple counts of Rape, Involuntary Deviate Sexual Assault, Aggravate Indecent Assault, Statutory Sexual Assault, Indecent Assault, Unlawful Contact with Minors and Corruption of Minors.
It is alleged that Reid molested two victims, both minors, for approximately ten years. Harrisburg City Police began an investigation in March of 2015 when one of the victims came forward and reported Reid’s abuse. A second victim came forward a short time later.
Reid is scheduled for an arraignment before President Judge Richard A. Lewis on October 14. He remains in Dauphin County Prison on $200,000 bail.
