NOT AS HOT FRIDAY: Thursday evening remains warm and steamy for the region. A few isolated early showers or stumbles fade quickly by sunset. This leaves behind partly cloudy skies through the night. Overnight low temperatures are in the upper 60s to lower 70s. High pressure pushes a backdoor cold front in from the north Friday. This brings the chance for isolated showers and thunderstorms during the afternoon, but it also cuts out the 90s for us. Expect high temperatures in the lower to middle 80s, though it is still humid.
MIDWEEK HEAT AND HUMIDITY: The heat is back in full force for the middle of next week. Expect the 90s to return Tuesday and Wednesday. Of course, the humidity is still around as well. Heat indices feel like the lower to even middle 90s at times. Thursday our next cold front is scheduled to move through, and it’s enough to get us out of the 90s. A few isolated thunderstorms are possible.
