SAN MARCOS, TX — A Texas State student’s photos are going viral after she’s been seen driving around campus in a pink Barbie Jeep.
Tara Monroe, 20, had her license suspended after a DWI arrest. She told MySanAntonio.com that, “Riding a bike around campus sucks.” So she found the Barbie Jeep on Craigslist for $60.
Monroe has gotten a lot of attention from people on and off campus, taking pictures and videos of her riding around.
The 12-volt battery takes her up to 5 mph.
Monroe told MySanAntonio.com, “This is the best way I could have gotten my 15 minutes of fame,” she said. “Basically, it was the best decision I’ve made in college, yet…”
