Fantastic weather for Labor Day weekend
BRIEF RELIEF LABOR DAY WEEKEND: After another toasty day, temperatures are not as hot for part of the holiday weekend. A few isolated showers and thunderstorms are likely through early evening, otherwise it’s mainly dry. Overnight is hazy and humid, with fog thickening late. Overnight lows are in the middle to upper 60s. Labor Day weekend, we take a break from the humidity as well for a couple days. Both Saturday and Sunday feature a more comfortable air mass with high pressure in control. After some early clouds and foggy areas on Saturday, some sunshine breaks out during the afternoon. It’s enough to warm temperatures into the lower to middle 80s. Sunday, the area of high pressure exits, but it’s still nice. Though it is still warm, the humidity stays low until later in the day. Expect temperatures to remain in the lower to middle 80s. Labor Day is looking very warm, but dry for outdoor plans. The humidity is back, and afternoon temperatures reach the middle to upper 80s.
MIDWEEK HEAT AND HUMIDITY: The heat is back in full force for the middle of next week. Expect the 90s to return Tuesday and Wednesday. Of course, the humidity is still around as well. Heat indices feel like the lower to even middle 90s at times. The days are mainly dry, but there is the chance for couple afternoon thunderstorms on Wednesday.
BREAKING THE HEAT: On Thursday, our next cold front is scheduled to move through, and it’s enough to get us out of the 90s. A few isolated thunderstorms are possible. The chance for showers and thunderstorms still exists through Friday. Temperatures still run a bit above seasonable averages in the 80s.
Have a great Labor Day weekend!
