WEST MANCHESTER TOWNSHIP, Pa. - Preparations are underway in York County for America's first fair, the York Fair. This year, event organizers are celebrating 250 years of the fair in West Manchester Township. In celebration of reaching the 250th year of the fair, organizers are developing a volunteer force with a goal of getting 250 volunteers for future events. Several special exhibits will also showcase the history of the fair.

Each year the York Fair features animal exhibits, rides and of course food. The gates open next Friday but vendors are already setting up in preparation for this year's festivities. Margaret Camalleri owns Old West Cinnamon Rolls, a popular stand at the York Fair each year and is already getting ready for the crowds. "A lot goes into it, just with the supplies alone and having to prepare for getting everything you need to run for the week of the fair," Margaret explained. Fair officials say they made over a million dollars in food sales last year.
