HARRISBURG, Pa. - Labor Day marks the unofficial end of summer, but that didn't keep people from celebrating the holiday. The Bethesda Mission in Harrisburg hosted a block party on Tuesday where dozens of people came out to enjoy music, food, and fun.

Organizers say the old-fashioned neighborhood picnic is just another way of showing they care for their neighbors.

"It's a thing every year we say: 'should we do it again,'" mission Executive Director Chuck Wingate said, "and you know we think about the faces of the kids and the people who are enjoying themselves,  and we say, 'ya know this is a good think to do, let's do it.'  The only variable we can't control is the weather, and when you get weather like this everybody has a great day."

People also got to enjoy a moon bounce, face painting, and even special prizes.
