Man wanted after running from police in York County

YORK, Pa- Police look for man after he ran from police during a routine traffic stop.

Southern Regional Police are looking for Curtis Thomas after he ran from police in a stolen vehicle when an  officer attempted to stop him in the parking lot of a convenience store on East Forrest Avenue, York County on August 16th.

Thomas sped off going north on Interstate 83 when he lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a cement barrier.

He climbed out of the car through the passenger side window and began to run into the southbound lanes and then into the woods police said.

Police searched the area with K-9 and helicopters but were unable to locate Thomas.

Thomas is facing multiple charges including fleeing and eluding and theft of vehicle. He is currently wanted out of York County for felony weapon charges and escape.
