HARRISBURG, Pa – The second of three suspects, wanted in an armed robbery beneath the State Street Bridge over the weekend, turned himself in to State Capitol Police.   Ricky James Ray Bowles Jr., 24, accompanied by his lawyer, surrendered himself at about 11:45 am today.

Bowles is alleged to have been one of three masked men, all dressed in black, who approached a group of seven people at about 12:40 pm last Saturday.  The suspects were armed with a pistol and two long guns. The robbery victims were on a modeling shoot underneath the State Street Bridge and 10th Street.

The gunman proceeded to rob the group of cell phones, wallets, cash and camera equipment before fleeing the scene on foot after two victims were able to make their way to Cameron Street and call for help.

During the course of the investigation, Jeren Collins, 23, was taken into custody on Tuesday, by the Susquehanna Township Police Department using information on Bowles’ vehicle provided by Capitol Police. A pistol matching the description of the one used in the robbery was found on Collins and after a consent search of a related-residence was conducted, a long gun, which may have been used in the robbery, was recovered.

Bowles was taken to Dauphin County Booking to be arraigned on 7 felony charges of Armed Robbery and 5 counts each of Simple Assault and Theft by Unlawful Taking, both of which are misdemeanor charges.
