CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Pa. – A Springettsbury, York County man is arrested after he is accused of stealing from his Cumberland County employer.

On August 20, employees of the business located on Louise Drive in Upper Allen Township, reported that the business had unexpectedly accumulated a debt of approximately $47,000.00 to the Dell company.

An investigation led to the discovery that from September 2014 through July 2015,  Randy A. Thompson, 29, had been manipulating and forging company purchase policies to unlawfully purchase equipment from Dell. The company was able to provide police with information that led to a warrant being issued for Thompson’s arrest.

Today, Upper Allen Police Officers traveled to York County, located Thompson at his home and served the arrest warrant. Upper Allen Police were assisted by Springettsbury Township Police and York City Police.

Charges against Thompson include Theft by Unlawful Taking, Theft by Deception, Receiving Stolen Property, Forgery, Theft by failure to make required disposition of funds, Tampering with Records, and Deceptive or Fraudulent Business Practices

Following a preliminary arraignment Thompson was committed to the Cumberland County Prison on $3,000 bail.
