MANHEIM TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A man was arrested early Friday morning after he attempted to rob three separate businesses in Manheim Township within a 30-minute time frame.

Mark G. White Jr., 34, of Lancaster, is charged with three counts of robbery. He was taken to Lancaster County Prison in lieu of $100,000 bail.

The first attempted robbery took place at the Sunoco located at 1136 Harrisburg Pike around 5:34 a.m., according to police reports. White told the clerk he had a gun and demanded cash. He fled the store when the clerk refused to comply with his demands.

Then at 5:56 a.m. White entered the Days Inn located at 1492 Lititz Pike and demanded cash, police said. The hotel clerk refused and White fled empty handed, again.

Officers patrolling the area near the Sunoco at 1204 Lititz Pike noticed a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot around 6:01 a.m. The vehicle was running and the driver’s door was ajar, police said. As the officer was investigating, White came running towards the car followed by the store clerk who was yelling he had just been robbed, according to police reports.

The officer immediately took White in custody. No weapon was found on his person.
