HARRISBURG, Pa – The American Indoor Football league in conjunction with the York Capitals are pleased to announce the team has come to terms and will relocate to Dauphin County and the Farm Show Complex & Expo Center. The Capitals will officially be renamed the Central Pa Capitals.

“It is great to welcome the Capitals to Dauphin County. Indoor Football was a fan favorite sport that we have missed in the past year,” said Dauphin County Commissioner Jeff Haste. “John Morris and the AIF have been great past partners to the Capital region. I am pleased to see the Capitals call the Farm Show home.” Haste goes on to state, “I look forward to the family friendly entertainment, as well as the economic impact that they will bring to our region.”

The Capitals are the defending 2015 AIF Champions after posting an impressive perfect 10-0 record.
John Morris, Owner/CEO of the AIF, “I would like to thank Jeff Haste and the County Commissioners for the support to make this possible. We look forward to providing the area with quality indoor football and build upon the great success that Dauphin County and indoor football had over a five year period.”

The Farm Show Complex & Expo Center is a large exhibition center and indoor arena in Harrisburg. It is primarily used for concerts, agricultural exhibitions, the Pennsylvania Farm Show, and indoor football. The complex also hosts more than 200 other exhibits and trade shows every year. The Farm Show Complex is 60 acres, houses 24 acres under roof, spread throughout 11 buildings including three arenas.

Sharon Altland Executive Director of the Farm Show says, ““We are very excited to once again be home to an indoor football team. This facility brings family and community together time and time again. This football season will be no different. A special thank you to John Morris for understanding the importance of arena football and for bringing it to the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex and Expo Center. We appreciate his support as well as that of the county commissioners. We are looking forward to a successful season.”

“The AIF and the Capitals couldn’t be more excited to be back in the Farm Show.” Morris goes on to say, “This is truly a first class operation and we look forward to working with Sharon and her outstanding staff.”
