Lancaster man will serve up to 5 years for stealing beer

LANCASTER, Pa. — Police in Lancaster have arrested and charged a man after they say he committed 3 burglaries, all to steal beer.

Trevor Steele- Norton admitted to police that he attempted to enter a home three times last summer.

On one occasion a female occupant was home and woke up to Steele-Norton in the apartment police said. She then realized that beer was missing from a closet.

Steele-Norton told police that he didn’t know who lived at the home, and he only broke in to steal the beer.

HeĀ  will now serve a 2-5 year prison sentence the District Attorney’s office said.
