Where You Live

COOLING BACK DOWN: After a wonderful and seasonable fall day, afternoon fair weather clouds quickly fade into the evening. An approaching cold front brings some clouds back through the night, and it also gives our region the chance for a few light showers. Otherwise, the night is mainly dry with overnight lows in the middle to upper 40s. After a few lingering clouds, sunshine returns Friday morning and the breezes kick up. Cooler air moving in aloft helps to bubble up some afternoon clouds. A few light showers or sprinkles are even possible during the afternoon. It’s a cooler day, with highs in the upper 50s to lower 60s.

Weekend Outlook

WEEKEND FALL CHILL: A chilly air mass slips into the region just in time for the weekend. Plenty of clouds are expected Saturday, perhaps even a stray sprinkle. Temperatures are in the lower to middle 50s. Sunday the coolest air is expected to pass through. This keeps a fair amount of clouds around, and it even bumps afternoon high temperatures down to near 50 degrees! Both days are breezy. Expect cold mornings too, with lows in the 30s Saturday night and Sunday night. There will be concerns about the first frost and freeze of the season.

DRY WITH WARMING: After another cold start Monday morning, temperatures slowly rebound through the middle of the week. Plenty of sunshine is expected Monday through Wednesday. Afternoon temperatures respond nicely to the added sunshine. Readings rise from the lower to middle 50s Monday afternoon to near 70 on Wednesday afternoon. Our next cold front looks to pass through Thursday, but it is moisture starved. Expect some more clouds, and a small chance for a light shower or two.

Have a great night!
