CARLISLE, Pa. - One organization in Central Pennsylvania is using BBQ and baked goods to give back to our nation's heroes. Post 274 in Carlisle with the American Veterans Ladies Auxiliary set up a stand at the Carlisle Farmers Market to sell food to support soldiers.

Big kettles of corn and bean soup were cooked for the cause, and even a few sweet treats were available for purchase.

"We could not forget our wounded warriors," Post President Donna Moyer said. "These are the young men and women that sacrificed arms and legs for us and I just believe that our ladies auxiliary can do so much to help them, and they are so appreciative of everything that we do."

The Farmers Market allowed AMVETS to set up their stand free of charge.
