AIRVILLE, Pa. - Southern York County Emergency Medical Services hosted a Dedication and Community Kick-Off Day at the Airville Fire Station. Sunday's event included three hours of firefighting and car extraction demonstrations. The celebration unveiled their newly unified organization which is an effort to increase services to the area.
"We took three ambulance services, they were independent organizations, and merged them into one to better be able to serve our community," EMS Chief Laura Taylor said.
The new agency covers six municipalities including Fawn Grown, Chanceford and Lower Chanceford Townships.
