SUSQUEHANNA TOWNSHIP, Pa. - A radio music marathon is underway to raise money for local kids and their families. The People's Morning Show on 105.7 The X is holding its 9th-annual Pay 4 Play event. The fundraiser is for the Children's Miracle Network at Penn State Hershey Children's Hospital.

Listeners can request any song of their choice for a donation. The event helps kids like Sammy, who got to sit in with the People's Morning Show on Thursday.

"We get really excited for Pay 4 Play  and other events like this," says Sammy's mother, Sheryl Raught, "because it's become a passion for us,  and Sammy loves Children's Miracle Network,  and she talks about them all the time,  and we get excited to spread the word because its such a good cause."

In the last eight years, the event has raised $794,148. Jennifer Shade, Nipsey, and Earl David Reed from The People's Morning Show have set an overall goal of $1,000,000. They now need to raise $205,852 through this year's event to reach that goal.

"Without people donating, there's many families out there that would be just heart-broken," Raught said.
