WASHINGTON TWP., Pa.-- Firefighters in York County battled a two-alarm fire on Saturday morning.
Crews were dispatched around 9:30 a.m. to a home on Bentz Mill Road in Washington Township that was engulfed in flames.
Fire officials say no one was home when the fire broke out. Neighbors tried to hep.
"The neighbor's house was completely engulfed in flames, I got the neighbor's garden hose and tried to put it out and called 911, then all the fire departments showed up and pretty much that was the end of it," said Jeff Stone, who lives nearby.
The house sustained major damage. The Fire Marshall is investing. No injuries were reported.
