SPRING GARDEN TWP., Pa– Two cousins were killed in a car crash in York County on Sunday afternoon. The men were passengers in a car that was fleeing from police.

Around 4:30 p.m., officers with the Spring Garden Township Police Department tried to stop the vehicle in connection to a previously reported assault. The driver did not stop and instead sped off on Hollywood Drive. The car, a green sedan, then reportedly hit a curb, lost control and crashed into a garage on Second Avenue near Harrison Street. The garage collapsed on top of the vehicle.

There were four people inside the car. 19-year old Elijah Moultry, of East King Street in York, died at the scene. The driver and two other passengers were taken to York Hospital.  Several hours later, 22-year old Brandon Moultrey, of West Philadelphia Street in York, died from his injuries. There is no word on the conditions of the other two people who were in the car.

Autopsies will be performed on the victims on Tuesday morning at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown to help determine their cause of death. Pennsylvania State Police are handling the investigation.
