LANCASTER, Pa. – A convicted drug dealer will serve up to 14 years in prison for his latest crimes, which included selling heroin while out on bail.

Police say Heriberto Collazo sold heroin to undercover officers on numerous occasions in 2013 and 2014, and was charged after a search of his vehicle in April 2014. Collazo, 28, posted bail, but then continued in his drug trade.

He recently pleaded guilty in Lancaster County Court to felony drug-dealing charges and was sentenced to 7 to 14 years in state prison. Assistant District Attorney Maria Cusick negotiated the sentence. Judge James Cullen also ordered that Collazo serve 8 years of probation following the parole term.

During the investigation, Lancaster County Drug Task Force detectives executed a search warrant at Collazo’s home in the 700 block of Columbia Avenue and found heroin, along with a 9mm pistol.  Collazo had been convicted in 2007 of felony drug-dealing, prohibiting him from owning a firearm.  Police also seized 57 grams of heroin during the investigation.
