MECHANICSBURG, Pa. -State representative Greg Rothman hosted an information session for people to be able to ask questions about Act 15.

“Constituents in the 87th District have questions about Pennsylvania’s new child background clearance regulations enacted by Act 15 of 2015 and have contacted my staff for additional information,” Rothman said.
Regulations include all volunteers that work with children having to get background checks. The background checks must be renewed every sixty months or five years. Students who volunteer are not required to obtain certifications. Governor Wolf has waived the fee for background checks for the time being. The budget impasse has not impacted the process.

For more on Act 15 you can contact Rothman’s office at 717-975-2235.
