HARRISBURG, Pa. - A Special Committee on Senate Address was held Wednesday afternoon to find out how the Attorney General's office is operating while Kathleen Kane's law license is suspended.

Among the four deputies present was First Deputy Attorney General Bruce Beemer. Beemer has taken over most of the responsibilities Kane would have if she still had her license.

"Put together a protocol that we follow which goes to the first deputy as currently the only legal authority for legal authority within in the office," said Deputy Attorney General, Bob Mulle.

Kane has not been a part of any new cases and has not dealt with any cases since September 21. The Supreme Court suspended her license on October 21. Kane is the first Pennsylvania Attorney General to have her license suspended. Her office is taking it day by day and trying to operate like they did before the suspension.
"We are on very solid firm footing. It doesn't alleviate the potential problems. That could come up over and over again that we have to face and litigate in the courts," said Beemer.

At this time it is believe Kane is working. Under her suspension she is still able to delegate. The supreme court would ultimately decide if she loses her job.
