LANCASTER, Pa. - Business owners and operators along with members of the community met today for the Lancaster Chamber of Commerce's fourth annual State of the County luncheon at the Double Tree Resort in the city.

The chamber shared the 2015 results of the prosperity indicators report which looks at education, community and culture, along with health and safety. The overall results were good, however the report showed room for improvement in three areas-- affordable housing, a qualified workforce and improvements in early childhood education.

"We haven't been a county that's always looked to government to solve our issues," Lancaster Chamber of Commerce Vice President and COO Cheryl Irwin-Bass said.  "But we really look to the strong organizations that we have and the private sector so, when they collectively come together to hear about the challenges  and start the dialogue around some of the solutions that can exist.  that's extremely important."

This year, more than 400 people from organizations across the county came to the luncheon.
