DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. – A Lower Paxton Township woman is injured while fighting off a would be robber. Township police say it happen early Monday morning near the intersection of Huron Drive and Union Deposit Road.

The victim, during an interview at the emergency room of the Pinnacle Health Community Campus, told police that she was walking near the intersection when a man unexpectedly ran out of the wooded area and attempted to steal her purse.  When she refused to give it to him, the man hit her with what she thinks was a firearm, causing a large gash on her forehead. The victim did manage to hold on to her purse. The man ran back toward the wooded area from where he first appeared.

The suspect is described as being an hispanic/male or a light complected black/male wearing a black jogging suit with the hood up. The victim was able to flag down a passing motorist who gave her a ride to the hospital.
