HARRISBURG, Pa.--

The contract signed on Friday said five lawyers from the Washington law firm of Buckley Sandler will be brought in for the investigation.

The contract says Benjamin Klubes will make $880 an hour, Caitlin Kasmar $740, Antonio Reyonlds $685, Elizabeth Bailey $480, and Leah Kuo $205.

"The majority of the work will be done by the lower paid workers," said Attorney General spokesperson Chuck Ardo.

The special prosecutor, Doug Gansler, agreed to be paid Attorney General Kathleen Kane's rate, which is $80 per hour. Ardo said the attorney's are working at a discounted rate and the cost is part of the $2 million budget for the investigation.

"It's not out of the ordinary for them to get this kind of money," he said.

According to Ardo the Attorney General said this is an investment into regaining the faith of the public. He said, people need to have faith in their judicial system.

Right now the lawyers are not able to practice law in Pennsylvania. This will be addressed prior to the investigation.

Gansler said the investigation could start next week with this contract being signed.
