LEBANON, Pa.–A pedestrian and a good Samaritan were injured after being struck by two vehicles in Lebanon city on Friday morning.

Officers responded to the intersection of 9th and Chestnut Streets around 5:27 a.m. after a vehicle struck a 58-year-old man. Police said the man was crossing the road when he was struck by a vehicle and thrown into the middle of the intersection. The driver pulled over and called 911.

As emergency crews were en route to the first crash–they received a report that another pedestrian was struck at the same intersection. Investigators said a 58-year-old street sweeper for Lebanon city was providing aid at the accident scene when he and the original victim were both struck by a second vehicle.

Both men were taken to Penn State Hershey Medical Center for treatment.
