CLOUDY WITH SHOWERS THURSDAY
The clouds remain stubborn across the area today and will remain through Thursday. A cold front is expected to come through tomorrow evening. Ahead of the front, showers will spread in across the area. Winds out of the southeast may produce some patchy drizzle overnight. Lows will be cool but mild in the low to mid 40s.
Most of the showers will hold off until after the morning drive time. They will continue scattered through the day. We could pick up anywhere from a ..05” of an inch to .25” in some areas, so not a lot of rain expected. Highs will still be mild in the upper 40s to low 50s.
WEEKEND CHILL
Following the front will be a deep trough, which will allow for much colder air to settle in Friday afternoon into Saturday. The chilly spell will be short lived as the flow becomes more zonal by Sunday and the trough lifts to the northeast. Highs Saturday will remain in the 30s with blustery winds and overcast skies. A much calmer day is expected on Sunday with sunshine returning. Despite morning lows in the 20’s, we should be able to warm to near 40, if not the low 40s.
Heading into Christmas week, temperatures will once again be mild in the 40’s and 50s. We will see several opportunities for rain showers, as several systems move in from the west.
