LOWER PAXTON TWP, PA-  The Lower Paxton Township Police Department has partnered with Wilsbach Distributors and American Taxi to fight drunk driving during the holiday season.

Holiday Alert Cab enables bartenders at Lower Paxton Township bars and restaurants to request a free cab ride home for any consumer who may have had too much to drink.

The program will run from December 15th to January 6th.  The Alert Cab program not only prevents potential drunk-driving crashes and arrests, but it also offers bar and restaurant owners an additional way to keep their customers safe.

According to Crystal Hartz of Wilbach Distributors:

“We salute those people who exercise personal responsibility by being or using a designated driver or getting a safe ride home during our Alert Cab campaign.  Drunk driving is inexcusable.  That’s why we make Holiday Alert Cab available to people who need it.  It’s a good, community-based program that is part of the solution to drunk driving.  Alert Cab helps save lives-it’s that simple!”
