Showers expected for Thursday

DAMP DAY: An approaching cold front brings a showery Thursday for the Lower Susquehanna River Valley. The first drops arrive during mid morning. Showers are more scattered in nature during the afternoon before ultimately ending during the evening. Foggy and drizzly pockets are expected too. Temperatures do not budge much through the day, with afternoon readings in the upper 40s to lower 50s. Clouds break this evening, and then clear through the night. Temperatures cool into the middle 30s to near 40 degrees.

WEEKEND CHILL: Chillier, more seasonable air finally arrives in the wake of Thursday’s cold front. Breezy air accompanies the arrival on Friday, with a mixture of clouds and sunshine. Highs are in the lower to middle 40s. Saturday is a cold day with plentiful clouds and highs in the middle to upper 30s. We warm a few degrees Sunday with more sunshine.

NEXT WEEK: Our next system is weak, and it crosses through on Monday. It brings plentiful clouds and a stray shower. Highs are in the middle to upper 40s. Tuesday, moisture tries creeping back this way from the south. Shower chances continue, with highs in the upper 40s to lower 50s. Wednesday looks damp as well. Temperatures are milder, rising well into the 50s.

Have a great Thursday!
