Lancaster man arrested for having loaded gun during traffic stop

LANCASTER, Pa- A Lancaster man is in custody after police say a strong odor triggered them to search his car and find marijuana and a loaded .45 caliber handgun.

Donald Vinson III, 18 was pulled over early Wednesday when officers observed him swerving in the 500 block of Third Street.

Vinson, who has a prior robbery conviction, was committed to Lancaster County Prison.

He is charged with careless driving, possession of a small amount of marijuana, persons not to possess firearms, and carrying a firearm without a license.
