CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Pa. – An Enola man, an alleged victim in a bar fight, is charged with resisting arrest. The incident began at about 1:30 am on Wednesday, when East Pennsboro Police were called to the Grotto Pub, in the 100 block of Market Street in West Fairview.

Police at the scene spoke outside the bar with Michael Rittle, 40, of South Enola Drive.  Rittle, who had visible facial injuries, claimed that he had been assaulted inside the bar. But during the interview he gave officers a false name and then attempted to run away.

When officers caught up with him, Rittle began fighting with the officers. He was eventually taken into custody.

Charges against Rittle include Public Intoxication, Flight to avoid Apprehension and Resisting Arrest.
