STRASBURG, Pa.–A Strasburg man began serving prison time Monday for sexually abusing a teenage girl during a sleep-over last year, according to the Lancaster County District Attorney’s office.
Charles F. Sargent, 41, will serve 1-to-2 years in Lancaster County Prison, followed by 7 years of probation. Sargent also must register his whereabouts with police, under Megan’s Law, and is forbidden from having contact with the 16-year-old victim, according to Assistant District Attorney Christopher Sarno.
Sargent plead guilty to three counts for sexually abusing the victim, who stayed at his home in April 2015 for a sleep-over with friends.
As part of sentence, Sargent isn’t allowed to have unsupervised contact with children, aside from his biological children.
